Round Table Discussion at Career & Internship Fair at VUM

Last Friday, key partner Varna University of Management organized the Career & Internship Fair. During this event, industry representatives joined the Round Table Discussion on ‘Skills needs for managers and specialists today’.Assoc. Prof. Maya Ivanova (Programme Director of the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management at Varna University of Management) kicked-off the session with a short presentation on theNext Tourism Generation project. She highlighted the outcomes of theNTG Researchand focused on the digital, green and social skills that are in high demand nowadays and in the future within our industry.

Among the industry representatives participating in the discussion were IPRACTICE COSTA BRAVA (Spain), Iberostar Group (Spain), Barceló Hotel Group (Spain), GR8 Recruitment (Jersey Islands, UK), GRIFID Hotel Chain (Bulgaria), Historical Park – a theme attraction (Bulgaria), TaxBack Group (Bulgaria) and more. A special guest of the event was the President of Varna Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mr. Ivan Tabakov.

Furthermore, students were also part of the Round Table to share their experience in the industry and what they think are the necessary skills for a successful future.
