The NTG Toolkit built around three skills sets, gives ideas, examples and tools on how to improve digital, green and social skills with the help of best practices, assessment methodologies and supporting tools focusing on the tourism subsectors Tour Operators and Travel Agents, Visitor Attractions, Destination Management, Accommodation Providers and F&B Operations.

The toolkit can be used by industry and education to form the basis for the next step in skills development for the European Tourism Sector.

SKILLS ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

NTG技能评估方法(SAM)是一个research-based, structural mechanism for the analysis of rapidly changing skills and skills needs in order to develop strategies for addressing skills gaps in the EU tourism sector. The Skills Assessment Methodology will support the tourism industry, education and training providers as well as government bodies to continuously and longitudinally identify, assess, and monitor skills needs in order to make strategic choices to eradicate skills gaps for a future-proof tourism industry in the EU.

The NTG Tourism Sector Skills Toolkit provides a practical tool for industry and education providers to offer innovative, flexible and relevant learning and training methods within the core areas of digital, green and social skills.

TOURISM SKILLS LAB

The NTG Skills LAB builds on the Skills Matrix to create a wider series of practical functionalities to assess skills gaps for end-users including employers, employees, HR professionals, trainers, students, universities, local authorities and companies.

QUALITY STANDARDS SKILLS FRAMEWORK

The Quality Skills Standards Framework explains and illustrates the different national organisations working to support quality standards and integrating new skills into training & educational curricula. This will help stakeholders to recognize the key factors, which influence the integration of new skills content and quality skills delivery for education institutions and industry training providers.

BLUEPRINT STRATEGY FOR SECTORAL SKILLS DEVELOPMENT IN TOURISM

The NTG Alliance has developed the first Pan-European Skills Blueprint for the Tourism Industry, presented in this strategy report. The Blueprint provides a roadmap for addressing digital, social and green skill needs in the tourism sector in Europe through transformational collaboration between industry, education, social partners and government.
